The 2010 MTV Movie Awards served as a platform to preview clips for the upcoming much-awaited movies this year. M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender came in first during the red carpet. The movie will be shown in theaters on July 2, 2010, and is based on the first season of the hit Nickelodeon animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was up next, which stars Michael Cera and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and is also an adaptation of the comic book series Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O’Malley. To keep with the adaptation theme, a brand new clip from first part of the movie which is based on J.K. Rowling’s last book of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, was unveiled. It stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. It is directed by David Yates and will be shown in theaters on November 19, 2010.
But there was no doubt that the movie with the biggest that night was the preview of the brand new clip from the third installment of the Twilight saga, Eclipse. The series is based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer. It stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner. It is directed David Slade and the screenplay is written by Melissa Rosenberg.
The movie clip shows the confrontation scene at the parking lot of the Forks High School by Edward Cullen, Bella Swan, and Jacob Black. Jacob first approaches Bella, who was with Edward, and then asks her if she really did go out of town as her father told him. She said that she went to see her mother and asks him why. Edward then said that he wants to check if she is still a human. Jacob then tells him that he and his kind should not come back to their land again. Edward then orders to leave now. But Jacob is unperturbed and tells him that Bella has the right to know what’s going on and that Victoria is after her. Edward then says that he is just protecting her but Bella thinks that by keeping this from her, he lied to her. She then left with Jacob in his motorcycle.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be shown in theaters on June 30, 2010. But you can have the option to watch Eclipse online.
