Spotlight's on Riley in Latest Eclipse TV Spot

Before the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on June 6 where the three lead stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are set to preview a brand new clip in the third installment of the Twilight series Eclipse, a spanking new TV spot has been released by Summit Entertainment titled Missing. And on this latest promotional move for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse which is bound to hit theaters in just a few weeks, the spotlight is on Riley Biers. It offers a short backstory on how he was transformed into a vampire. He is first seen walking alone in a street on a rainy night when he got attacked, bitten, and then fell to the ground. He was never heard of again until he is seen with the other newborn vampires. He was chosen by Victoria to lead her newborn vampires to kill the Bella and the rest of the Cullen to avenge the death of her lover James who was killed during their fight against the Cullens in the ballet studio in Twilight. She then started creating her own armies by creating newborn vampires in Seattle. It is still unknown if Riley was exactly the first vampire that Victoria made. This series of merciless killings has caught the attention of both the Cullens and the Volturi clans because of their reckless murders, they might expose the secret world of the vampires. In order to make Riley follow what she tells him to, she lied to him that she loved him. When she was satisfied with her own minion, she told them that the Cullens are a threat to their existence. They must find Bella first because they will also find them. But when they got to them led by Riley, they were not just by the Cullens but also the Sam Uley’s pack. The vampires and werewolves made a pact in order to protect Bella. The fighting scenes have been featured in the past posts.

Riley is played by Australian film and tv actor Xavier Samuel. He has appeared in television shows like McLeod’s Daughters and Dream Life. He was given leading roles in the movies September (2007) and Newcastle (2008). He bested over more famous actors like Step Up’s Channing Tatum and Tom Felton of Harry Potter’s Draco Malfoy fame for the role of Riley/
