Latest Eclipse Featurette

After The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Original Motion Picture Soundtrack lost its battle against Glee: The Music, Journey to Regionals at the Billboard 200 to claim the top spot in its debut week, now Summit Entertainment is trying to make sure that that won’t to the movie adaptation. The studio released a brand new featurette, which is like a smorgasbord of pasts TV spots, movie clips, behind-the-scenes shots, and commentaries from the cast members.

The featurette is a little more than 2 minutes and focuses more on the newborn vampires: the threat they pose to Bella, the Cullens, and the wolf pack. The newborn vampire armies were created by Victoria to avenge the death of her mate James who was killed by the Cullens in the first Twilight. The army is led by Riley, who was actually the first one to be seen at the featurette. He is played by Xavier Samuel, who said that there is a short period of time that the newborns are very strong and get very thirsty with blood. They were wreaking havoc in Seattle by making a series of killings. As soon as Victoria was satisfied with her army, they then went to find Bella because she will lead them to the Cullens. Victoria lied to them that the Cullen family was a threat to their existence. In order to protect Bella, the Cullens then made an unlikely team-up with the wolf pack to fight against the newborn vampires who were surging towards them.

It also shows some fight scenes, but they have been featured in the past. But this time they have in-depth comments from the actors like Jackson Rathbone and Kellan Lutz. The Cullens practicing and preparing for the stunts are also included. Plus there are behind the scenes shots of the vampires shooting during their battle against the wolves minus the special effects.

The Twilight saga: Eclipse will hit theaters on June 30 but, you can also hit the net and Watch Eclipse online.

Eclipse Lost To Glee at the Billboard 200

In just a few days before the third installment of the Twilight series, Eclipse, will hit theaters, the original soundtrack of the movie has just been dropped… and it failed to claim the top spot in the first week of its release. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the album sold over 144,000 copies in the US but it was not enough to reach the number one slot. It got beaten by an album of a hit television musical Glee.

The original soundtrack of Fox’s show, Glee: The Music, Journey To Regionals, reigned supreme at the Billboard 200 with over 152,000 copies sold. The album contains songs from the season finale of the show, which aired just a few days ago before the soundtrack was released. It featured the anthemic song Don’t Stop Believing of Journey, Jonathan Groff’s take on Bohemian Rhapsody, and another rendition of Over the Rainbow. This is the third time that the album from the show reached number one after Glee: The Music, The Power of Madonna (released May 8, 2010) and Glee: The Music- Volume 3: Showstoppers (June 5). Three number one albums in just one year!

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Original Motion Picture Soundtrack featured songs like Eclipse (All Yours) by Metric, Chop and Change by The Black Keys, Change by Let’s Get Lost, a collaboration of Beck and Bat For Lashes, Jonathan Low by Vampire Weekend, What Part of Forever by Cee-Lo Green, and Jacob’s Theme by Howard Shore.  The first and carrier single was Neutron Star Collision by Muse, and peaked at number 77 at the Billboard Hot 100. It currently sits at the 17th position at the Billboard Alternative Songs and 24th at the Rock Songs chart.

The first Twilight soundtrack debuted at the number one spot with 165,000 copies after the first week of its release. The album then sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide. The next album, the original soundtrack of New Moon, debuted at number two, behind Michael Buble’s Crazy Love, with over 153,000 copies sold. But a week after it shot up to the top spot.

But will it take the top spot next week? Most don’t see it coming. Drake’s album Thank Me Later, is slated to be released and is expected to sell more or less 475,000 copies, according to Billboard. But the movie adaptation of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is set to be released in theaters on June 30, 2010 and, if expectations are meet, it will likely debut at the top of the box-office. So, you might also want to Watch Eclipse online.

Pattinson Appears On The Tonight Show With Jay Leno

I have actually stopped watching The Tonight Show with Jay Leno after he unfairly and unmanly replaced Conan O’Brien as the host of the show. Leno hosted The Tonight Show in 1992 after Johnny Carson retired until 2009 and was replaced by O’ Brien. He then started his primetime show with NBC last year but it was later cancelled due to dismal ratings. What followed was one of the biggest late night show controversy after he returned as the host of The Tonight Show, and had O’Brien kicked out. But last night, I tuned in again, not because of him, but because Robert Pattinson was the guest. He was out to promote The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Pattinson was asked by Leno first if his parents, who were both seated at the audience, believed what the tabloids were telling like him having an alien child. He revealed that they used to-well, not the alien baby thing- but not anymore. He added that it depends on the sources. He also read some of the e-mails sent to him by his father. One talked about what his dad felt about Twilight. He revealed that his father thought Twilight was a mixture between Jaws and Superman. He then read another one which dealt with wooing a lady by kissing her hand. He then talked about his nude scenes. He said that he was given a little robe and by the time he was about to take it off, he felt like he was gonna throw up. And when he was naked, only one person looked a little more than one second at him: the cameraman. He wanted to say to the 6 or 7 people there who looked away, “Hey, I’m sitting here naked alright now I want some respect.”

Later, Emma Roberts, who just landed a starring role in the fourth installment of the Scream franchise, revealed that he was into Edward. She said to Pattinson sitting next to her when she was asked by Leno if she was Team Edward or Team Jacob, “I’m sorry, your hair looks wonderful in person, but I’m going to have to say I’m Team Jacob.” But Pattinson said, “You’ve just revealed yourself to have absolutely no taste.” Snap! Emma, niece of superstar Julia Roberts, posted on her Twitter, “Rob Pattinson is so nice! I was so slightly disappointed his skin wasn’t glistening & the song ‘Wild Thing” didn’t start when he shook my hand,” which then started an influx of hate tweets from the Team Edward fans. The nasty tweets caused Emma to cancel her Twitter account.

But on a happier note, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is set to hit theaters on June 30, 2010. But you may want to Watch Eclipse online to stay away from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno… unless one of the Twilight casts will appear.

Melissa Rosenberg Talks About Breaking Dawn

Melissa Rosenberg has been hired by Summit Entertainment to write for the adaptation of the Twilight, which was based on the first novel of the series of books by American author Stephenie Meyer, just before the 2007-2008 Writers Guild of America strike. From then on, she was signed on to remain on the project despite having changes on the production crew on the Twilight franchise. And last week, Summit has announced that Breaking Dawn will be made into two films. Although the script is yet to be finished but Rosenberg already has an idea on what will be seen on the first part, which has been scheduled to be shown in November 18, 2011, and on the second half, which the release date is yet to be announced.
She revealed during a press conference a few days ago in Beverly Hills a few details on what parts will be seen on each of the movies. She said, “Nothing has actually been decided, but the natural split is somewhere between she’s human in movie one, she’s a vampire [in movie two].” She continued, “She’s human and pregnant in one; she’s a vampire and a parent in two. Bill Condon has been looking at that from a visual standpoint, so that’s natural. That said, there’s a lot of room about where that moment is.”
She also revealed her thoughts regarding Breaking Dawn and how Meyer handled the way the story went and the plight of the characters. She told them, “It was a very bold move, what Stephenie did and where she took her characters. She had them grow and get married and have children and realize her ultimate potential of becoming a vampire.” But she also acknowledged that some fans were not happy with how things ended. She commented, “It was a very bold move. I think it lost some of the audience who wanted to continue the other things, the fantasies and the desire. Now, she’s got it all, and what do you do with it?”
But she was happy and thrilled about where the story went and would give her enough material to work on to turn one novel into two movies. She added, “So, it’s a very different kind of movie, I think, and a very different kind of story. I think there’s definitely material enough for two movies in these books, but there’s also, for the first time, a little breathing room. There’s room to explore a little bit and to expand. I’m excited about that.”
But Breaking Dawn will have to wait because Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be shown first in theaters this June 30, and you also have a chance to Watch Eclipse online.

Watch Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Online

Summit Entertainment has just given a greenlight for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn to be divided into two movies, based on the official press release of the studio this week. The script is yet to be finished by perennial Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg but they have already set a scheduled date for the release of the first part of the movie. It will be shown in theaters on November 18, 2011, and the cast and crew are also slated to start filming on fall this year. So that means you can get a chance to Watch Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn online.

Breaking Dawn is the final installment of the Twilight series of novels written by Stephenie Meyer. The book was released on August 2, 2008, and sold about 1.3 million copies in US and 20,000 copies in the UK after 24 hours it has been available in shelves. It then went on to sell more than 6 million copies, making it the biggest-selling children’s book of 2008. Breaking Dawn also won several literary awards including Children’s Book of the Year at the British Book Award in 2008. It then won Teen Choice Book of the Year, and Author of the Year to Meyer in 2009 at the Children’s Choice Book Awards.

Both of the movies will be directed by Bill Condon. He directed movies like the musical Dreamgirls and the bio-film Kinsey. He also wrote the screenplays for Chicago and Gods and Monsters, which he won an Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay in 1999. Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart have all signed up to reprise their roles of the three lead characters. All the Cullens family members have also reached an agreement with their deals despite minor setbacks due to salary disputes by Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene. Billy Burke will also come back as Bella’s father, Charlie Swan. But thee is no confirmation whether Dakota Fanning and the rest of the Volturi clan, plus the wolf pack cast members, if they have signed but it is expected that they will.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will hit theaters this June 30, so if you can’t wait that long for Breaking Dawn to be released, you may want to Watch Eclipse online.

And Two More New Eclipse Movie Clips

I have already lost count on how many clips Summit Entertainment has released in the past ten days to promote their upcoming third installment of the Twilight series Eclipse. There’s the one with the Cullens with an intro from Robert Pattinson, then, Bella Swan, Jacob Black and the rest of the wolf pack with a back story with Taylor Lautner, and a clip with the newborn vampires Riley and Bree Tanner, plus the one that debuted at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, which was the confrontation scene between Edward Cullens, Jacob, and Bella at the parking lot of Forks High School.

Now two more movie clips have been released. The first one features Jacob not wearing a shirt, again, while waiting for Bella and Jacob. Jacob even commented to Bella, “Doesn’t he own a shirt?” He does have a point. You could count how many times Jacob has been seen with a shirt on. But then again, with all those transforming into a wolf and subsequently ripping your shirt, it would have to be expensive. And then there’s Bella. She once again showed why everybody envies her. She first had a liplock with the vampire heartthrob Edward in the middle of the street. Geez, get a room will you two. And then, Bella then walked to the wolfboy hottie Jacob who was waiting nearby and she gets a big hug.  And Kristen gets paid for this?! Lucky, lucky girl. Jealous much?

The next clip features the redhead evil vampire Victoria being chased by the Cullens in the forest. She really is hard to capture with all those running away from the vampires jumping off from tree to tree, and trying to dodge while Jasper Hale is trying to catch you. Plus, she jumps off a brook, well, it smaller than a river, to get to the other side.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is directed by David Slade, who is best known for directing music videos like Muse, Stone Temple Pilots, and Tori Amos. It will be released in theaters on June 30, 2010, Or you can also Watch Eclipse online.
